The country I would like to visit most is japan. There are many reasons for this. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Japan is a highly developed country. It is situated at the eastern edge of Asia and is made up of a group of islands. The main islands are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. Besides these, there are many small islands. Japan is called the 'Land of the Rising Sun'.
Japan has many mountains including many volcanoes. Japanese people are smart, intelligent and industrious. They are kind and hospitable too. The majority of Japanese are Buddhists. Their customs are somewhat similar to ours in Sri Lanka. They are proud of their traditions. The traditional dress of the Japanese women is the kimono. Now the western dress is worn by most of the Japanese people.Shrine and temple festivals, the tea ceremony and flower arrangement shows are some of the traditional events of Japan.
Japan is an industrial country. there is a large number of factories in Japan. The Japanese manufacture textiles, toys, electrical goods, machinery, vehicles, jets and ships.
Japan is one of the richest countries in the world. Japan gives a great deal of aid to Sri Lanka. I would like to visit Japan to see the Buddhist shrines, factories and volcanoes and also to study their customs.
